A review of Summerhill House by Liz written on Sunday 18th of May 2025
My sister was sent to Summer Hill House against the families wishes by Birmingham Adult Services. She is a vulnerable 72 year old lady who at the time could hardly walk. The room she was in was dirty she had to share a bathroom Due to the fact she was very shaky on her feet this was difficult. The doors are very heavy my sister only weighing just over 5 stone found these difficult to open. After a few days there she had a fall and no ambulance was called. Her daughter called the ambulance the following day and she had broken a bone in her leg. She was again admitted to hospital and whilst there some of her belongings were taken. The food she had left in the fridge had gone rotten as fridge not working..
